Shoulder Surgery

As the most flexible joint in the body, the shoulder joint allows for the placement and rotation of the arm in many positions in front and behind the body, as well as above and to the side. This flexibility makes the shoulder quite susceptible to instability, injury and various degrees of shoulder pain.

Knee Surgery

Injuries can cause knee pain and swelling making it difficult to bend or put weight on it. If swelling occurs immediately following an injury, this may suggest a ligament tear or fracture. If the swelling arises over a period of many hours, the meniscus or cartilage may have been injured.

Hernia Surgery

Hernias are a defect in the muscle of the abdominal wall. They are a gap or a hole that the contents of the abdonimal cavity, such as fat, intestine and/or other organs, tend to be pushed through by the normal pressure that occurs within the abdomen. As this material pushes through the hernia defect, a bulge or localized area of swelling will become evident.

Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Endoscopic sinus surgery is a surgical treatment that uses small cameras (endoscopes) that allow a surgeon to see inside the nose and, using small instruments, remove the inflamed tissue   and bones of the sinuses. This helps to improve sinus function by removing inflamed tissue, improving ventilation in the sinuses and allowing for medications to reach the sinus cavity.

Rhinoplasty surgery is truly a “functional art”, as any surgery that alters the outside appearance of the nose will affect nasal function. This is why it is of utmost importance for your surgery to be performed by a surgeon who specializes in nasal surgery, both inside and outside the nose.
